Students and alumni of the B.F.A. and M.F.A. Writing programs have been busy earning more awards and publications. Check out the latest below, and keep an eye out for more in the coming weeks.

Araceli Cruz (M.F.A. current), published a short story in the current issue of Palabritas, a literary publication with the mission of creating space for Latinx writers from a variety of backgrounds and identities to showcase their work.

Ariel Felton (M.F.A. 2015) published the op-ed, “What’s ‘Southern Hospitality’ Without a Living Wage?” in The New York Times.

Maggie Maize (B.F.A. 2020) published her award-winning essay, “Minding the Small” in Harness Magazine.

Grace Utomo (M.F.A. current) published the essay “Things Not Seen” in the We Are Worthy issue of Kaleidoscope: Exploring the Experience of Disability through Literature and the Fine Arts.
