Award-winning Oxford American magazine published Halle Hill’s (M.F.A. 2020) debut short story, “Bitch Baby,” in its summer/fall issue. Editor Elize Borné writes in her opening letter, “Change and Transformation,” that Halle’s story “shares a vivid and beautiful portrayal of two siblings’ love alongside a wrenching account of police violence and bigotry.”

It is Halle’s publishing debut.

After earning her M.F.A. in Writing at SCAD Savannah, Halle moved to Wyoming, where she is working on her first short story collection.
