Raycom Media seeks writers
Raycom Media will be at SCAD in Savannah on Oct. 24 to conduct interviews for a variety of positions, including writing. See SCAD Job Portal number 3176491 for more information. The deadline is Oct. 17 for the posting.

Raycom Media is one of the nation’s largest privately owned broadcasters and owns and/or provides services for 62 television stations in 42 markets and 20 states. Raycom Media owns or provides services for stations covering more than 14 percent of U.S. television households and employs more than 4,600 individuals in full- and part-time positions.

While at SCAD, they will be looking for students experienced in the areas of television, film, social/digital media and motion graphics.

Sequestrum holds contest for graduate students
Sequestrum is holding a contest through Oct. 15 for new writers and poets (anyone yet to publish a book-length manuscript). The library contains NEA and Guggenheim Fellows, Pulitzer Prize nominees, and other award-winning poets and novelists; Sequestrum hopes to put some of today’s emerging talents alongside them. The contest is open to short fiction, nonfiction and poetry, with winners for both prose and poetry. Visit the website for all the details.

Tethered by Letters announces fall contest
Tethered by Letters is offering $1,600 in prizes for fall contest winners. Matt Gallagher will be judging short story submissions; Ken Arkind is the poetry judge; and Sari Wilson will select the best flash fiction submissions. In addition to the cash prize, winners of the fall contest will be considered for publication in F(r)iction, the triannual journal of fine art and literature.
