The Television Academy 2016 Summer Internship
The deadline to submit an application for the Television Academy Summer Internship is March 11, 2016 by 11:59 pm. They provide over 50 industry-wide internships that allow students to work with big name companies such as Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, HBO, ABC, NBC and many more. There are a variety of internship positions available including television scriptwriting and entertainment news. Students must be enrolled full time and can be undergraduate or graduate students. Interns will receive approximately $4,000 for their work and you can check out the rules and guidelines for entry for more information.
Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference
The Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference will take place Aug. 10-20, 2016 in Ripton, Vermont. During the conference, attendees will attend workshops in fiction, poetry and nonfiction writing. There are readings from faculty, participants and guests that will take place throughout the days and into the nights. Participants can meet with visiting editors, literary agents and publishers who can answer questions and provide guidance in the publishing world. Attendees stay at the Bread Loaf campus of Middlebury College, in the Bread Loaf Inn and the adjacent cottages and buildings. Off-campus housing is also an option. All applications are due by March 1 with an application fee of $15. If accepted, there is a $3,170 fee for general contributors that includes room and board.
