Dickinson House is a Belgian residence that offers one to six week stays with full room and board. During a person’s stay, they are able to take short workshops about art and writing. They have recently opened their applications for their 2016 season and have two writing fellowships and one art fellowship available to applicants. They especially encourage writers who are people of color, women, and LGBTQ to apply.

Your application should include a short essay (700 words max) answering how you perceive community, why you’re applying to Dickinson House, what they can offer you and what you can bring to the table. You should also include your plans for residency, any dates you are not available to be in residence, ten pages of recent work (double-spaced), a brief statement of financial need/circumstances (if applicable), details of two references who can speak on your behalf (email and relationship to you).

The deadline for submissions is Dec. 15 and there is an application fee of $18.
