Listen to Ellis Jones discuss her climb to the top of one of the world’s most successful publications: VICE magazine. In addition to hearing her story, you will also have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the editorial world and how to rise above the competition.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Jones moved to New York City in 2008 to become an intern at VICE. She rose quickly through the ranks to become executive editor before assuming the role of editor-in-chief this year: the first woman in the company’s 20-year history to hold the position.

The event, which will take place on October 8th at 8 p.m. at SCAD Atlanta’s DMC, is part of the Ivy Hall Writers Series, is free and open to SCAD Card holders.
