Fine Arts Work Center fellowships opportunities

The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown awards seven-month fellowships to twenty fellows (five poets, five fiction writers, ten visual artists) each year in the form of living and work spaces and a modest monthly stipend. Emerging poets and fiction writers pursue their work independently in a diverse and supportive community of peers. Deadline to apply is December 1, 2014. The Missouri Review extended deadline for the 24th Annual Jeffrey E. Smith Editors’ Prize competition

In addition to the $15,000 awarded to the first place winners, three finalists in each category receive cash awards and are considered for publication. Fiction and nonfiction entries should not exceed 25 typed, double-spaced pages. Poetry entries can include any number of poems up to 10 pages in total. Postmark deadline is now October 14, 2014.
