Claremont Graduate University’s Foothill: a journal of poetry

Graduate students can now submit to the 2014 Claremont Graduate University’s Foothill: a journal of poetryFoothill is the first and only literary journal that exclusively publishes graduate student poetry.

Submissions of up to five unpublished poems composed in any poetic genre or form are welcome from poets actively enrolled in a graduate program. Email your poems as a Word .doc or .docx file attachment. In your cover letter please include your name, email address, title(s) of poem(s), as well as the name of the university and program you are enrolled in.

 

Truthdig.com is accepting poetry submissions

The award winning news website seeks submissions for the launch of their weekly poetry section. They are looking for fresh, original, previously unpublished poetry that speaks to current events. For more information please see the website.

Email all submissions (up to five poems) in .doc AND .pdf formats with “Poetry Submission” and your name in the subject line. Please include a short biography with the submission. Poems accepted for publication will receive a $50 honorarium.

 

Beacon Street Prize

Beacon Street Prize awards $500 and publication to a winners in Fiction, Nonfiction and Poetry categories. There is a $15 fee to submit, but it comes with a free one-year subscription to Redivider (a $15 value!). They are accepting submissions through April 30.
