Last week was another busy week at SCAD Atlanta.

We started with a reading by novelist and Paste editor Charles McNair. Mr. McNair spoke to a group of students, faculty, and staff–including Catherine Ramsdell’s Persuasive Writing class. He also took the time to sign some books and talk with students and faculty after the reading.

On Thursday, we heard from screenwriter Terrell Tannen, who discussed his career, meeting John Huston, and his memoir “When Blood is Gone.”

Writing students and faculty closed the week by participating in the Goat Farm’s first (hopefully to be annual) literary festival, which included both lectures and workshops. Highlights included sessions with Roxanne Gay and Scott McClanahan. SCAD Atlanta’s very own Jamie Iredell made a special appearance as well and participated in one of the “secret” panels.
