SCAD District, Savannah’s student news organization, wants to fill four paid positions on the editorial board for the 2012-13 academic year: news editor, student life editor, entertainment editor and creative director. Enter the American Literary Review Short Fiction Contest for the chance to win a prize in one of three categories: poem, a short story and essay. The winner in each category will receive $1,000 and publication in the Spring 2013 issue of American Literary Review. Submit work online by Oct. 1. The deadline for The Missouri Review’s Editors’ Prize competition also is Oct. 1. Catfish Creek, a nationally-distributed undergraduate literary journal published out of Loras College, is reading for its third annual edition, to be published in March 2013. The reading period is Sept. 1-Dec. 1, and the journal is accepting submissions of poetry, prose up to 4,000 words, and any work that might cross the boundaries of those genres.
