Document, the graduate journal of the SCAD writing program, wants your nonfiction! Submit your best work immediately. Selected works will be published in Volume 4, Winter 2013.

Submitted pieces will also be considered for nomination to the Association of Writers & Writing Programs Intro Journals Awards. The nominated piece will NOT be published in this edition of Document, but will be eligible for publication in the following journals, as per the Intro Awards guidelines: Hayden’s Ferry Review, Mid-American Review, Colorado Review, Puerto del Sol, Quarterly West, Tampa Review and Artful Dodge.

Both the AWP Intro Award nomination and publication in Document are great ways to get your work in front of readers. Add a line to your CV and cultivate your publishing career by submitting now!

Eligibility: Open to all current SCAD MFA Writing Students
Deadline: Monday, Sept. 24
Response time: 1 month
Genre: All forms of nonfiction. No poetry or fiction. Simultaneous submissions accepted. If the piece has been published elsewhere, please specify in your cover message. Previously published pieces are most certainly eligible for reprint in Document, but are not eligible for the AWP Intro Awards.
Submission limit: Two pieces per student
Submission method: One Word doc. attachment per e-mail submission; One piece per Word doc.

Style and format: MLA, Chicago or APA style. First page should contain all contact information. Last name and page number should appear on all subsequent pages.
