DOCUMENT: the Graduate Journal of the SCAD Writing Program wants your nonfiction and fiction!  Submit your best work immediately.  Selected works will be published in Volume 5, Spring 2014.

Submitted pieces will also be considered for nomination to the Association of Writers & Writing Programs Intro Journals Project, the winners of which will be published in the following  magazines:

Hayden’s Ferry Review • Mid-American Review • Colorado Review • Puerto del Sol • Controlled Burn • Quarterly West • Tampa Review • Artful Dodge. 

Both the AWP Intro Journals Project nomination and publication in Document are great ways to get your work in front of readers and to beef up your CV.  So cultivate your publishing career by submitting now!

Eligibility: Open to all SCAD MFA Writing Students

Deadline: Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013

Response time: 1 month

Genre: All forms of nonfiction and fiction.  No poetry.  If the piece has been published elsewhere, please name the venue in your cover message.  Previously published pieces are welcome and eligible for reprint in Document, but are not eligible for the AWP Intro Journals Project.

Word Count: Works of all lengths will be considered.

Submission Limit: 2 pieces per student

Submission Method: 1 Word Doc. attachment per e-mail submission; 1 piece per Word Doc.

eLearning and Hong Kong students may submit work to either editor.

Style and Format: MLA, Chicago or APA style.  First page should contain all contact information.  Last name and page number should appear on all subsequent pages.
