Congratulations to SCAD Atlanta student media

SCAD Atlanta student media had another award-winning year. Not only did numerous writers, illustrators and photographers win individual awards, but SCAD Atlanta Student Radio, SCAN Magazine, and The Connector also won awards.
President Wallace discussed these accolades in her latest email to the SCAD Family:
“The results from the 2016 Society for Collegiate Journalists‘ national competition are officially in: A triad of SCAD Atlanta student publications are tops! According to SCJ — the oldest organization for collegiate journalism — SCAD Atlanta Radio, SCAN Magazine, and The Connector surpassed entries from more than 100 eligible chapters across the United States to win first place in Internet Radio and Broadcast Overall Excellence, Magazine Overall Excellence, and Online News Website Overall Excellence, respectively. The judges were highly complimentary of our students and commended SCAN Magazine in these words: ‘A great magazine needs collaboration. The writing, images, design, layout, and the overall style should all come together to create a certain experience for the reader. That is what a magazine with overall excellence needs. That is SCAN Magazine.’ SCAD students truly are newsmakers — in every sense of the word.”
