May 12 // Break the Stereotype!
Thursday, 11:00am-1:00pm, ACA Library, Room 413

  • This workshop will engage you in the process of developing exciting, authentic characters for a storytelling medium of your choice. Learn how research and reflection can help you avoid stereotypes and appropriation in your characters and why this matters. Each student will contribute to a collaborative zine that will be printed as part of the workshop. Registration is required; to save your spot, email [email protected].

May 12 // 9th Annual Artists’ Book Symposium and Student Competition
Thursday, 2:00-5:00pm, ACA Library & Trois Gallery

  • Join students, artists, and faculty at SCAD- Atlanta for a day devoted to artists’ books, zines, and everything in between. Student artist book and zine submissions will be due May 6th, 2016; submission forms are available online or in the library. This event is free and open to the public. May 17 // Paws in the Library: Therapy Animals!
Tuesday, 1:00-3:00pm, ACA Library, near Trois Gallery

  • Feeling stressed?  Take a break and stop by ACA Library to play with certified therapy animals!  Petting dogs, cats, and bunnies can lower feelings of stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, and improve your sense of confidence and well-being.
