Write for The Artifice
The Artifice is an online magazine that covers a wide spectrum of art forms. They do not run The Artifice, you do. The Artifice is collaboratively built and maintained by your fellow writers. Anyone with a passion for media and the writing skills to back it up can join the Artifice. The only rule is that members must be at least 18 years of age. The current writers range from undergraduates to emeritus professors and a bit of everyone in between. New voices are always welcome! For more information please see the website.
Flyway submissions
Flyway accepts submissions from September 15 to May 15 each year. General submissions of poetry (up to five poems), short stories (up to 5,000 words), essays (up to 5,00 words), short-shorts (up to three with a maximum of 1,000 words each), and visual art portfolios (three-five images). They are particularly interested in pieces that delve into the environment or human place, but submissions of any subject will be considered. Please see the submission guidelines on the website.
Tahoma Literary Review Submissions
Tahoma Literary Review is open for submissions for its third issue. They now accept poetry, short stories, flash fiction, nonfiction and flash nonfiction. TLR is a print quarterly (with digital reader options available) that is dedicated to paying writers professional rates, promoting the contributors and helping their work find an audience. The Quaker Submissions
The Quaker is a national undergraduate journal of literary art published by the Student Writers Guild and the Program in Creative Writing at Malone University in Canton, Ohio. They seeks submissions of poetry, fiction, essays, reviews—of good writing in any and all forms. Publication occurs on a rolling basis, and each semester one author is chosen to be honored with a $100 Editor’s Prize for an outstanding contribution to the journal. Mangrove Literary Journal Submissions
Mangrove Literary Journal accepts work from undergraduate students throughout the year, but for submissions to be considered for the spring print journal they request you to submit before January 15, 2015.
