WordCast Conference this Week

SCAD Students from all class levels and majors are invited to a two-day media conference featuring industry leaders from the fields of print journalism, broadcasting and graphic design.
The event is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, September 30, and Saturday, October 1, at the SCAD Museum of Art. There is no charge to participate, but pre-registration is encouraged. Click here to pre-register.
The conference consists of hands-on seminars on long-form non-fiction writing, podcasting, audio production, web and print publication design, magazine freelancing and travel writing. The award-winning industry professionals will work with students to give instruction while also providing one-on-one critiques and career advice. Students may attend all or just a few of the sessions being offered.
The event is sponsored by the SCAD Student Media Center, which publishes District, The Manor,SCAD Radio, the Honey Dripper and Port City Review.
