The Gordian Review seeks submissions
The Gordian Review, unlike other literary journals, is a publication run and operated by graduate level English and creative writing students specifically for fellow graduate students. The mission is to collect the best samples of fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction from peers. The Gordian Review is interested in publishing fiction and nonfiction in the upcoming release. Submissions are due no later than Oct. 31 through the website, where the first volume is available for free to any and all viewers.

Apply to the Kauai Writers Conference
The Kauai Writers Conference was created to help writers develop their skills in an environment characterized by the aloha spirit of sharing, unity, respect and community. The organizers are all writers who work on the conference on a volunteer basis. They aim to provide a conference that truly serves writers and helps them access the information and resources they need most. Visit the website for more information.

Submit to Sarabande
Sarabande Books publishes essay collections between 150-250 pages in length. The editors accept essay manuscripts for consideration each September.  Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify them immediately if your manuscript is accepted elsewhere. A $15 reading fee is required for each manuscript submission. Winter Tangerine seeks interns
Literary journal Winter Tangerine is seeking interns for a four-month-long programs individually designed for each intern. Interns may start at any time in the year. The internships will be run entirely online. Visit the website for more information and to apply.
