Savannah Book Festival seeks an intern

The Savannah Book Festival is looking for a dynamic self-starter to assist with donor management, marketing and social media efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for well-known community based nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning community and fundraising events.
- Assist in processing donations and preparing acknowledgement letters and other correspondence.
- Assist in planning donor appreciation activities and campaigns.
- Assist in writing for monthly eNewsletter.
- Assist in development of effective social media campaign to broaden SBF community outreach.
- Assist with development of PSAs and content for web site.
- Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications.
Qualifications:
- Must be computer literate (working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- An effective communicator, both written and oral.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts.
- Good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Interest in nonprofit development/fundraising.

Hours: 15 hours/week, preferably twice a week in the office.
