Don’t Talk to Me About Love

Don’t Talk to Me About Love is hosting a debut contest in which they are asking writers to write about what love means to them. In no more than 2,000 words of fiction or nonfiction or 75 lines of poetry (up to 3 poems total), write about romantic, platonic, parental or any other kind of love you’ve discovered. Submit it by this Valentine’s day (Feb. 14) at 11:59 PM to have a chance at winning $1,000 and a full manuscript review and/or publication on their website. For your work to be eligible, it must be previously unpublished.

The Challenge

The Center for the Future of Museums is looking for essays that tell a story about a future of education where museums will play the starring role. They want to know what it will be like to be a student in that future. Write an essay no longer than 2,000 words on this topic and submit it before March 14 for a chance to win up to $1,000. Your story should inspire a sense of wonder for the audience as well as depict the primary strengths of museums.
