Belmont Story Review
The Belmont Story Review is accepting submissions from now until Dec. 15 for their premiere issue and until April 1 for their 2nd issue. They are looking for fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction from both new and established writers. They are also accepting narrative journalism in music, publishing, creativity and collaboration, as well as faith and culture. Works should be previously unpublished and submitted electronically. Authors who are accepted into the review will receive a cash reward. Please send your submissions to BSRsubmissions(at)gmail(dot)com.
Water~Stone Review
Water~Stone Review, published annually by the Creative Writing Program of Hamline University, is open to submissions until Dec. 1. They are accepting submissions from all genres, but are looking for new, diverse, exciting and distinct fiction. This particular upcoming issue is also featuring a fiction contest in which the winner will be awarded $1,000. Submitted works should not exceed 8,000 words and there is an entry fee of $20. Works should also be previously unpublished, but simultaneous submissions are accepted as long as the writer withdraws their submission from Water~Stone Review if their work is accepted elsewhere.
