Tahoma Literary Review is now open for submissions
Tahoma Literary Review is now accepting submissions of poetry, short stories, flash fiction, nonfiction, and flash nonfiction for their journal. They offer professional payment for accepted works which is about $100 to $300 for fiction, $50 to $300 for nonfiction, and $25 to $50 for poetry and flash. The deadline for submission is Dec. 31 and there is a $4 to $6 submission fee depending on what you’re sending.
Thin Air Magazine is taking submissions
Thin Air Magazine is currently accepting submissions until Dec. 1. They will accept simultaneous submissions, but only consider unpublished work. They are taking submissions of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art for their print publication and flash, plays, video lit and art, and interviews and reviews for their web edition. Because they are looking for very specific things in the work they publish, it is recommended that you read pieces from the previous issue before submission.
Miami University Press submissions for novella prize
The Miami University Press is now taking submissions for their 2016 Novella Prize. The winner is given $750, a standard contract, publication, and 10 copies of their book. Send unpublished work only by Oct. 15. The piece can only be 18,000 to 40,000 words and you must pay a $25 reading fee.
