Lunch Ticket is accepting submissions
They are now accepting submissions for issue six! Send your best fiction, flash fiction, poetry, writing for young people, and visual art pieces! The Diana Woods Memorial Award for Creative Nonfiction, with a cash prize of $250, is also accepting submissions.
Also announce the newest addition to the journal: The Gabo Prize for Literature in Translation & Works in Multi-Lingual Texts. The Gabo Prize will be for works in translation, and original works in bi/multi-lingual texts, and the winner, selected by a guest judge, will be awarded $200.

Inaugural Issue of The Great American Literary Magazine
The Great American Literary Magazine is looking for fearless and inventive fiction and poetry. They publish quarterly and the current reading period is from August 1 through September 30. For information about the submission process and the magazine, please visit the website.
Walt Whitman Award
The Academy of American Poets is accepting submissions for the 2015 Walt Whitman Award will be accepted online between September 1 and November 1, 2014. The judge of the 2015 Walt Whitman Award is Pulitzer Prize–winning poet Tracy K. Smith.

The Latino Presence is currently seeking submissions
They are currently looking for submissions to be electronically published in an audiobook format. Primarily seeking short stories., they will regularly select one of these stories and create an audio product downloadable from our website. The author will receive 25% of the net download sales.

The submission period for the upcoming fall 2014 issue spans from August 1 to September 1. They are looking for well-crafted fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, and blends of these to publish in the print issue and on the web.
