SCAD Atlanta Professor Publishes Third Book

Congratulations to Dr. Jamie Iredell. His book I Was a Fat Drunk Catholic School Insomniac was published earlier this year by Future Tense Books. The book has received a good amount of praise, including this fabulous book blurb: “Jamie Iredell is one of the two or three best writers I know in this world. If you read him—you’ll say the same thing. If you don’t, that’s fine. Your grandchildren will say it one day.” —Scott McClanahan, author of Crapalachia. Creative Loafing had good things to say about the book as well.
Dr. Iredell is also the author of The Book of Freaks and Prose. Poems. A Novel. He teaches courses in fiction, nonfiction, rhetoric, and publishing at SCAD Atlanta.
