Originally from China, but a naturalized citizen since 2002, I came to the US on January 31, 1989 as an exchange scholar from Nankai University in China to Swarthmore College in PA. Wow, I just celebrated my 21st anniversary!
I received my doctoral degree in Humanistic Studies from the State University of New York at Albany in 1996 and have been teaching at the Savannah College of Art and Design since Sept. of that year. Trained as an African American Literature scholar, I have taught and created a variety of courses at SCAD. Here is a partial list:
