This quarter is the my first time being introduced to the CRAAP standards & form. If you are not taking the class, you were half asleep during this unit, or you are some random nonSCADian, CRAAP stands for Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose. Leave it to California State University to find quick and easy way to cut the crap resources down. The standards present method to systematically evaluate each resource. I have attached the standards below.

I think this would have been a lot of help for every research paper I ever completed. During high school, I would just grab random books that mentioned my topic. I didn’t have access to a car so multiple trips to the library were unlikely. I had to use my crappy sense of selection to muster up enough citations to fufil the assignment. I initially didn’t know what to look for but found a time consuming rhythm as the years progressed. I will share this with the hostile teenagers that live in the house and devour my food. It might be helpful so I must present it in a non-threatening manner… perhaps interpretive dance or a simple email.
