DreamWorks are looking for your work.
Submit you portfolio by April 17th at 3 p.m. on the fourth floor of Montgomery, behind the greeters desk.
DreamWorks are seeking seniors and graduating grad candidates for the following positions; lighting, texturing, 3D Character Animation, rigging (they have actually just opened 2 spots in their Char TD Challenge). They will also look at exceptional juniors. For this visit DW will not be seeking submissions from modelers or 2D animators.

Attention all SCAD Visual Effects majors! If you havn’t been to a Digital Media Club meeting yet, then you need to! They meet almost every Wednesday night, 8pm at Montgomery Hall. (Sometimes the schedule does vary, so please check their site before coming to verify the meeting) Every quarter they have many different guest speakers and events and competitions. It is also a great way to network with fellow students, professors, and industry professionals.

Laika is coming to visit SCAD. They will be giving a presentation at SCAD Trustee’s Theater on Tues, April 14th, 8pm. This event is open to the public. During their visit they will also be meeting with SCAD Visual Effects students about career opportunities with Laika.

Blue Sky will soon be visiting and interviewing SCAD Visual Effects students. They will be at our Savannah Campus on April 6 and April 7th. We are trying to confirm details on a public presentation. If confirmed, we will post this information so you can attend.

E-on software is currenty offering a free usable, beta version of their new Ozone 4.0 (Atmosphere) application that also works with Maya, XSI, Max, Lightwave, and Cinema4D. Once again, ILM, Lucas Arts, Lucasfilm Animation, and Skywalker Sound were visiting the SCAD Visual Effects department. They have been recruiting our students for games, movies, and more… On Monday, March 30th, they gave a presentation at SCAD’s Trustees Theater.
