Read all about it at Modern Art Notes:, Hankblog, and Bad at Sports. We are the Visual Resources Center (VRC) at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia. This blog was created to inform our patrons of recent additions to the collection, new services, information relating to the VRC, digital libraries and collections, and visual materials relating to the arts. Located in Room 318 of the Jen Library, we are open 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Services provided include digital scanning of slides and flatbed items, purchases from digital image vendors, and training. Looking for images: Introduction to the Visual Resources Center image databases February 1, 2008 Looking for a better way to study for your Art History test or need a way to analyze a specific artwork? Need images for a class presentation, paper, or project? Come learn about the image databases the Visual Resources Center has for you. This workshop will demonstrate techniques in using ARTstor by searching, saving image groups, printing study guides, researching artwork, and creating presentations. We will also explore the vast in-house collection of the SCAD Digital Image Database and how to use these images. Please RSVP at vrc@scad.edu. ARTstor images now available at 1024 download sizePosted by: vrc in ARTstor, News and UpdatesARTstor has recently announced that over 95% of the images in the ARTstor Digital Library are now available for download at 1024 pixels on the long side. This will allow users to download large JPEG images for use in classroom presentations and for other noncommercial, educational uses in the software environment of their choice.
