Quick Doodle fun can help relieve stress from exams
Found this place a couple days ago and wanted to just randomly draw something unrelated to classes, which actually made me feel a little better like letting loose a knot.

Random Wonders Episode 2
If you ever find yourself wondering about on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays when heading from O-House to Turner (or vis-versa) then you may have notice (or ignored) a little shop on the side of the road on Turner boulevard; Peddler Jim’s Antiques. It can be easily missed especially if not there your walking down the street during the closed hours.
I just so happened to wonder into it on Friday while on my way to pick up a package at Weston. It kind of had a sense curiosity about it. Then again I am easily amazed by old trinkets and toys and other such items. I was rather amazed buy the stuff I found there. I say old cameras, books, jewelry, and much more. It was like walking into a crack time capsule that time left for us to see.
I found myself looking through the box of old comic books. (all mostly animation friendly). Now their rather fragile and tattered but I had to get one. So I picked up a 1954 issue of a Donald Duck comic (Donald being on of my favorite among Disney’s main trio). I also picked up a little children’s book from the 1950′s that I simply adored the illustrations.
So if your looking for a little adventure you can always find yourself wondering off Turner Boulevard and into this quant little shop. You just might find something that catches your eye.

The feature will start at 8:30 but at 8 there will be screenings of short films.
Not sure if you want to see or if you know what the movie is about. See the trailer and visit the official site.

Marc Brown at SCAD

Thursday Marc Brown (the creator of Arthur) came to talk to SCAD students at the student center. He gave autographs and took pictures it was all real exciting and funny. It was one of those experiences that I really enjoyed. Growing up I remember loving the show and reading the books during Elementary and Middle school. He talked about how his characters and their experiences in episodes were based off real people he knew and things that happened to him as a kid and to his kids and his grand kids through time.
Though I really wished I brought a poster or a book for him to sign but I’ll make sure next time that if anything like this happens again I’ll be sure to be prepared.

Random Wonders Episode 1

Thursday I headed down to the French Papillote Cuisine to Go, a bit past Urban Outfitters (theres a couple tables and chairs out front, you can’t miss it). I have to say it was one place that I will definitely return to when I can. It was one those days that I really needed to wonder off and simply enjoy the rest of the day. What I have to say always have to order as my little dessert is a Macaron which are like a tiny sandwich cookie and the flavor depends on the day.

I had the Croque Monsieur, and I have to say I savored each bite I took cause it was so good. The bread crisped softly with each bite and just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
If your ever near Broughton St stop by cause it’s one thing that you wont regret.
Check out their website has the latest specials of the day posted.

Squirrels checking-in
-Image coming Soon-
Such a busy day! With so much to do and so little time to do it (at least thats how it feels like).
I would have to say moving in for the semester is like squirrels storing nuts for the winter while the tree is full of other squirrels doing the same. Talk about a hectic morning!
So it’s that time again when everyone (including myself) is getting settled in their new den and soon going through the first few days figuring out how classes and schedules function before adjusting.
Being a new transfer student myself I know I’m going to feel really lost with in a campus that basically stretches across Savannah. (Though I learned that the river is always North so that will help……hopefully) Knowing me I will probably get lost a few times during the first few days (because my sense of direction is as good as Ryoga [from Ranma1/2]).But eventually all will go well. Class will go on and I’ll be like an all-ready programed robot going to classes automatically with out too much trouble.
Just as the squirrels adjust to the change of the seasons, we all adjust to changes in life, and through it have new experiences that teach us unforgettable lessons. Heres to the start of a new (or another) semester!

Disney and… Marvel?

{Probably my 2nd attempt at drawing Mickey, which of course belongs to Disney}
Heard a couple days ago that Disney bought Marvel for about 4 billion $!!! Though seeing how Disney has been playing shows like Spiderman and X-Men for quite sometime now I’m actually not that surprised.
Disney owning about what I heard to be 5,000 Marvel characters; those we know and those we didn’t even know of, the cool and the unusual.
Wonder what else will be in store after this? hmm..
Wonder if they’ll try to develop their Disney Hollywood studio (aka what use to be MGM) more using some of what is shown on Disney XD. (though I miss the early days of Toon Disney when what was showing were cartoons like the Rescue Ranger, TailSpin, Darkwing Duck, Bonkers, Duck Tails, Gummy Bears, and many more my how the years change)-sigh

Birthday wishes and Summers ending Days

Summer is passing by so fast and everything has felt as though a dream. There are only a couple more days left before I have to pack and get set for classes for this fall semester. During my birthday in August I got to spend a couple days at the Disney Swan and head to Magic kingdom boy did those days seem to feel almost endless. I got a cake and made my wish then blew out the candles and had a blast. I noticed while at Magic Kingdom that I always see the part to wondrous impression at night (since we stayed at one of the Disney resort hotels we were allowed to stay longer after the fire works) I don’t know if it was the fact that me and my sis were tiered but those few hours felt a lot more fun and, dare I say, “magical”you know like those Disney commercials always say. If anyone gets a chance to stay later after the fireworks show I would say go ahead the atmosphere feels much lighter (that is when the herd of people leave and there’s only the ones staying at the resorts left) it’s not empty but just a good amount of people around to still have fun. But of course nothing is forever and my family and I had to return home and get back to the hustle and bustle of life.
But here’s one thing thats for sure after this year of spending repeated times at all the Disney parks I think next year I’ll head for Universal and Islands of Adventure hopefully the new Harry Potter section will finally be open.

Counting the days…

So lately I have been a little sluggish with my blog updates and now that it’s August 1st that means 23 more days till I’m another year older. Wow how time sure passes by (starts to get flashbacks)
Comic-Con (oh how I wish I could have been there) is over now which leaves the mind to wonder off to all the new things that are coming soon. You can see some Disney based Comic-Con exclusives on the Walt Disney Animation Studios on Facebook page

V’s 1st Animation
Was looking back on a couple old things I have done and found my first animation (or at least what I consider an attempt to do animation) It was done way back in 2007 when I was still in High school. I remember I used a couple sheets of paper from the printer a glass table my parents had and stuck a flash light under it while I drew. Then I scan every sheet of paper and made them animate using Windows Movie Maker. Looking at this now I see a lot of mistakes -”BLAH!”
But hey it’s a start.
