Are you a staff member who wants to know what’s available in the Student Toolkit in MySCAD? Or maybe you want to move one channel in MySCAD to a different tab? MySCAD does allow you to customize your layout and add different channels to your tabs. To add a new channel complete the following steps.
1. Click on the Content/Layout link underneath the MySCAD banner on the left side of the screen.
2. You will then see all of your MySCAD tabs in the Content/Layout area. You will need to select which tab you would like to add the new channel to.
3. After selecting your tab, you will then need to decide where on the tab you would like the new channel to be placed. Click on the New Channel button on the page wherever you would like to see your new channel on the tab.

4. You will then be prompted to select the category for the channel you would like to add (to ensure that you see all available channels you can select “Select All” from the list). You will then need to click on the Go button to see the available channels.

5. Scroll through the list and find the channel you would like to add. Once found, click on the name to select it and then click the Add Channel button on the right hand side.

6. Your channel will be added to the location you selected. If you would like to move it on the tab you can use the arrow keys inside the block for the channel.

7. To return to the regular layout, click on the link at the top left to return to your previous tab (ex. Back to Workspace tab).
You can follow these same steps to move a channel to a different tab. Once you’ve added the channel to the tab you want, you can simply delete it from the old location.
As always, if you have questions you can email training@scad.edu or techsupport@scad.edu.
