Intangible Magic of CELEBRITY MARKETING
Viral Marketing is one of the marketing techniques that are used to either raise one brand’s awareness or to increase its product sales through mass media. In-order to deliver its purpose we apply now so called the “WOMM” – “World – Of – Mouth – Marketing” method, which is the Intangible Magic that I was talking about. Basically it is a form of promotion that company does not have to spent a penny for it to happen, relying on customers to do the branding or product advertising through their mouth while communicating with other potential customers. In this case, it’s a fair situation that will build up also a stronger reputation because the media nor customers does not stand at a point where they are gaining any personal benefits from recommending anything. There is less limitation on this marketing technique because it has endless amount of potential forms of spreading, for example web pages, social media, emails, text, phone calls, images so on and so forth. According to the latest Nielsen Global Online Consumer Survey of over 25000 Internet consumers from more than 50 countries, more than 70% of recommendations being posted by consumers are the most trust-worthy. You might then ask, what is the effective way to persuade any potential customer targeting your product? Well, here’s where the celebrities kicks in.
All we human beings do everyday is to observe the world, especially for people that are ‘Fashion-Sensitive’ like me, I often pay very close attention to what people surrounding me are pulling out from their wardrobe everyday. But wouldn’t it be more convincing if the awesome products are carried by some idols that you admire? Celebrities nowadays are the biggest walking advertising board on earth when it comes to fashion. Fans and media pay very close attention to their fashion items and they would actually purchase them right away if they can afford the price.
