The international student services office and counseling and student support services would like to welcome all new spring quarter international students to SCAD. Connect with culturally aware students who can relate. Build relationships that offer support in areas of cultural adjustment. Learn about resources in all areas, especially those pertaining to academic success. Use this opportunity to ask questions or voice concerns in a friendly environment. Join us this Friday, February 10 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Student Center (120 Montgomery St.) for a stress-free good time. Come and hang out over a FREE cup of coffee or tea as we learn skills that will help us be a success at SCAD!

Student Center, 120 Montgomery St. We’re offering extensive resourcing and
supportive discussion about cultural adjustments to campus life. This week
we have a contest going on – who ever brings the most guests WINS! We have
door prizes for all contestants! So join us for complimentary tea and
coffee.

Want to be the best roommate on campus?! You can! Join us this Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on the third floor of the Student Center, 120 Montgomery Street; we will be practicing communication techniques that can be used to have a successful roommate relationships. Our meetings are interactive and fun. You’re sure to laugh and learn. Complimentary tea and coffee is served at the Bistro on the first floor. Tea and Talk gets back underway Friday, Jan. 6, 1-2 p.m. at the Student Center, 120 Montgomery St. Tea and Talk offers a supportive discussion group for international students who may be interested in learning more about cultural adjustment, understanding academic success in the SCAD classroom, making friends and in general learning more about university resources. Of course, we’ll serve hot teas and coffee.

When: Fridays at Student Center 4th Floor, 1-2 p.m.

Don’t miss out on the final tea and talk hour of fall quarter!This week we’ll have a guest yoga instructor visiting the group to demonstrate some relaxing poses. Participants will also have a chance to win a few free yoga classes at a local studio.
Tea and Talk is a great opportunity to meet others interested in cross-cultural exchange and to learn helpful tips relating to your success as a SCAD student. During the hour, we chat about culture, play games and exchange information. Got questions about your transition to the U.S. or SCAD? Come have them answered during Tea and Talk hour!

Tea and Talk hour gatherings allow new international students and continuing students to come together to build friendships and support one another. This week’s Tea and Talk hour will have a guest speaker from the Office of Career and Alumni Success. This will be a great time to learn about how this department can benefit you. As always, you can bring up questions or concerns about any topic during the hour. Tea and Talk is held in the Student Center, fourth floor, 120 Montgomery St. We look forward to seeing you there.
