Project Groundsheet
The first project is over and I must say it is a relief although I know there more is to come. This project was a struggle for me. It made me cross over into my uncultivated creative side that needs a lot of work. The thought of doing 100 sketches in class last Thursday was unthinkable to me but it helped me when it was announced that the faster I did the sketches the better. I felt that it made it worse and more messy and felt like throwing all my sketches away after looking at them. Here are the sketches and four designs. The feedback I received in class was that my lines were too much like shapes and that it looked too much like I just had plopped my design on the page without giving it a thought and my paper was not the right size. Hopefully the next project will be better and hopefully I learn from the mistakes I made on this first challenge.

Hey Sarah! I don’t think we said anything about the top left sheet but I think you made good use of negative space, and the construction paper definitely looks like lines. And save that little lion image! It is so cool, it looks like it could be a logo for something…
