The Healing and Educating through Art program is known as H.E.ART and is a part of the SOS program at SCAD. The program was formed to facilitate an artistic haven for expression while working with cancer survivors and cancer patients. The program creates an artistic environment that encourages self-expression and reflection of the healing process. Being a H.E.ART volunteer is a great opportunity to volunteer your time with patients suffering from cancer- it is very rewarding and very creative, and fun! You will make a difference in someone’s life- we guarantee it! We are looking for volunteers who are ready to give fresh ideas and are willing to expand their minds artistically for the betterment of the patients. This growing program is stationed at the Anderson Cancer Institute of Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah. Transportation is provided from the Student Center. We enjoy working with the volunteers at SCAD so don’t hesitate to sign up or ask any questions!
