Passport Stamps

For FYE classes, this is the last week you can get passport stamps, since passports are due session 9. To get a stamp for Service Opportunities for Students, you must SIGN UP for any of the above projects. You can sign up by e-mailing sos@scad.edu, calling 912.525.8800, or attending our general meeting on Wednesdays, 8 p.m. in the Student Center. Attending a general meeting does not give you a stamp! You must sign up and attend a project to receive one.

SpotLight on Hunger

America’s Second Harvest: SpotLight on Hunger is a large fun fair can drive being held on Saturday, November 7. There’s going to be a mighty numerous amount of kids there so we’ll need a lot of volunteers to help paint faces and monitor bouncy houses and bean bag tosses and the like.

Transportation will be provided from the Student Center on the day of the event. We will depart at 9:45 am and return shortly after 12:00 noon.

In2Books

Be a mentor to an at risk 4th grader in Savannah from the comfort of your own computer! The In2Books/ePals online mentoring program is a convenient and user-friendly way to directly impact the literacy of a student, simply by writing six on-line letters and reading five 4th grade level books. These can be done at any time, from any computer, and is the perfect volunteer opportunity for busy students!
