They need several volunteers to help this event run successfully. The event will start at 7am and end at 11am. Below, you will find the list of volunteer positions. If you’re interested in helping, please email TaKarahD@gmail.com stating which position you would like to perform. If you need a ride to Wright Stadium, please make note in the email.
D.J./Stage Area: Help with transitions in entertainment and speeches
Runner Food & Beverages: Provide water, cut and provide bananas, etc. to runners coming in from the finish line
Kids Zone Games: Each person will be assigned a game, and instructions for the game. Job is to ensure all pieces of the game stay at the game, and to manage the game process with kids to ensure they know how to play and have a good time.
Vendors Area: We’ll have 8-15 vendors, from Savannah Morning News to KillCliff Sports Recovery Beverage to vendors selling kids items. Oversee this area to make sure vendors have what they need and are happy.
Race Course Area: Be on the course at points where the direction to run may be less clear, and direct runners. Ensure lower runners are running to the right so the faster runners can easily get by. Report any problems on the course to the race course manager.
