Yesterday District celebrated its staff adviser’s birthday. My girlfriend and I made the cake pictured below. In keeping with the spirit of AP Style, simplifying where possible, the cake is vanilla with vanilla frosting.

The Society for Collegiate Journalists at SCAD encourages student participation in SCAD’s student media groups and promotes the understanding and the support of freedom of student expression including freedom of speech and press for all college students.
SCJ teaches the ethics, techniques and mechanics of such media to encourage student participation in local campus communications, journalism and other media. The group works to strengthen the student media of publishing and broadcasting and to promote theunderstanding and the support of freedom of student expression including freedom of speech and press for all college students.
SCJ urges adequate and stable financing by the college for student media. The group rewards student communicators for their efforts, services, and accomplishments by admitting those students into its membership.
