If you would like to attend a SAM meeting feel free to join us at any of the following:

SAM meeting 1/10/13
14 members, 2 faculty
Made approximately $200-300 in fundraisers last quarter
Need to start paying for field trip-
- Dates are confirmed April 7 Emerging Arts Leaders
- April 8-9 Arts Advocacy Day
- Need to leave Saturday, Sunday-Tuesday are conferences, return Wednesday, can still go to SCAD job fair Friday
- Smithsonian tour might make trip need to be extended or fit into conference schedule
Arts Advocacy- Monday night go to Kennedy Center, Yo Yo Ma is speaker, comes with registration
Can do lunch with representatives/lobbyists, will be $25 extra
Registration for AA is $75, EAL is $35 (student)
$110 per person (student)
Registration fee due January 31 (will be meeting then), check needs to be written to SAM
Class Schedule- will need to miss class, bring at least one professor
Fundraising-
- What can we do better this quarter?
- Krispy Kreme sale, seems to work well for other groups
- Thursday Feb 14, next meeting on Jan 31 will set up schedule
- Katie will ask about options for SCAD card, sponsorship
- Melissa will look up fundraising program
- Yun-yun wants to work on advertising for the event
Katie wants to work on an event-
- Make a committee for networking event
- Kate, Shayna, Ha’ani, Melissa, Yun-yun
Ha’ani wants to do small field trips to internships to learn about what we are all doing at end of quarter
- Check with supervisors to make sure this is ok, show what is going on in internships
Next meeting will be Jan. 31
