The First Design Project

January 13th, 2013 - No Responses

In this project the class drew 100 thumbnail images with certain line specifications for each group of 25. It was an interesting experience learning about the ways the lines in a piece affect the overall meaning, feeling, and balance. It was also interesting to learn the ways my new camera, printer, combined with my laptop and my family’s desktop and printer, do and do not work. Overall a nice and semi-frustrating experience. I’m excited for the next one.

Peace,

Phil

The thumbnail images have cropped the edges of my drawings but if you click on the picture it will appear in full.

A Little About Me

January 7th, 2013 - One Response

Hello Everybody,

My name is Philip and I am a new transfer student. My major is Sound Design and I hope to use the skills I learn to work in music production. Prior to SCAD I was an engineering student at Savannah State. I liked it all except for the math so I decided to change my academic focus into something that is more natural for me.

I started playing musical instruments when I was five. Over the years, I have found my role in musical groups to be the one who hears the whole picture and the individual elements that contribute to the whole. I believe that SCAD will good place to learn how to use this ability for different media as I work on building a career.

I hope to get the most out of this class that I can and incorporate what I learn into my career and life, maybe.

Peace,

Philip
