What does your definition of graphic design look like now? Has it evolved since the start of the course? Why? Cite the course readings and/or additional readings to support your definition.
Graphic design is indeed one of the most engaging and exciting fields, I always think to myself that I’ve been lucky to have been directed to pursue it. I believe that any definition I would give to graphic design would only expand as my knowledge and experiences with it expand. As I’ve been working on my topic I encountered many aspects either directly related to or influenced by graphic design.
On my previous posting I said that what made me fall in love with graphic design is how directions you can go and follow. I will add the fact that I love the part of “exploration” or “brainstorming” where it’s possible to attach any ideas together and make sense of them being together.
I enjoyed reading about research in unit 3, it made me look back at previous projects that I work with and evaluate how I ended up creating the design. With many research methodologies, I believe that in some way we follow the same logic in approaching research yet it depends on what topic we are aiming to explore.
This is where I am at right now, even though it requires extra focus or revising I know it will only makes the end result more defined and better.
