I think I tend to work for a moment of performance. I think that comes from feeling pressure to get something done rather than taking the time I need to create something more original. I’m learning that I need to push myself even more, regardless of deadline or pressure. I need to forget those things temporarily while I work so that I allow myself to reach as far as I can.
unit 7
I learn that I do consider values quite often in my creative process. I sometimes think I should consider it less because I feel like it holds me back and keeps me from creating the strongest message I can.
Unit 6
Disruptive wonder is a very interesting idea. To be able to in a way throw everything you know up into the air and start from there is a great way to get a fresh start on how you work. When Anderson showed us how many different things she could spell with her name it really makes you think about how much more there is to things if you just take a minute to move things around.
Unit 5
I really enjoyed the last part. It was great to see all the struggle come into one final outcome. I’m a little nervous about this since this is my first design project! But I’m happy with what I came up with.
Unit 4
It was at this point that i really started zeroing in on where I wanted my project to go. I knew I wanted something clean ad simple. I did have some struggle figuring out how exactly to execute my thoughts.
Unit 3
“Thinking Wrong” has impacted my exploration so far by forcing me to think outside the box. When creating the lists of words I kept wanting to pull back in to what seemed right, but then I would push back out to try and expand what felt comfortable. I have always had a fear of being wrong I guess, so I typically stay close to what I know and this has helped me to push past that.
Unit 2 Blog Entry
For exploration A part 2 I had a hard time coming up with words for the two words that were given to us. Coming up with words for camera was easy because it IS something I use and deal with every day. When it came to adding words to my group members list, it was a little easier because there was already a list of words to get my mind going. However, at the same time it was frustrating because I would come up with word and then realize they already had it!
