Finalized Thesis:

Color deficiency does not only affect an individuals daily activity, it plays a large role in the way visual communication messages are perceived. In this essay, I plan to prove that design industries should consider appropriate marketing communication strategies for individuals who suffer from color vision deficiency.

Originally from Brussels, Belgium, my name is Mariska Kalmeijer, and I am a second year graduate student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. After having earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta last year, I decided to continue my education at SCAD and pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. I chose to switch from attending the Atlanta campus to online schooling, so I could combine school and full time work here in Jacksonville, Florida.
