Watching a saddening video of girl who completely misunderstood the gospel and hearing T.D. Jakes refuse to proclaim the Sovereignty of Christ and Christ alone for Salvation and the forgiveness of sins convicted me, as I knew it would, of my own sin leading me once again in to the trials of repentance and  thankfully the glory of the Gospel.

PC is totally right when he claims that saying: “God knows my heart” is not good news and he backs it up:

Genesis 8:21 (English Standard Version)                                             21And when the LORD smelled⁽A⁾ the pleasing aroma, the LORD said in his heart, “I will never again⁽B⁾ curse^[a^] the ground because of man, for⁽C⁾ the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth.⁽D⁾ Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done.

Mark 7:21 (English Standard Version)   21For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft,⁽A⁾ murder, adultery,

Romans 3:23 (English Standard Version) 23for⁽A⁾ all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Thats just scratching the surface. Scripture makes it Evidently Clear that man is evil from his youth. That all have sinned and that we are full of a wickedness beyond comprehension. Its almost ironic then that people go around distinguishing the good man from the bad. Scripture makes it perfectly clear that there are no good men, Save Christ, and that we are inherently evil, we yearn for evil and flock to sin. The Lord does search my heart, as he searches the heart of every man, but If my salvation was in anyway dependent on that Then I would still be a Dead Man. For when I look into my heart I myself, one who can barley distinguish the good from the bad, call my self horribly evil. What then does the Lord of Hosts see? It is for this very reason the blood of the lamb was spilt. And it is an understanding of man’s situation that makes the good news such “Good News!!!”

PC is also right when he says that what is good news is saying this: “God Cleanses my heart by faith.”

Acts 15:9 (English Standard Version) 9and⁽A⁾ he made no distinction between us and them,⁽B⁾ having cleansed their hearts⁽C⁾ by faith.

and I would add “Though a life of sin be against me, though I did not know, could not know, and would not believe. though I had nothing to offer, could never pay it off, and deserved a righteous damnation for my debt and an eternal separation from God, God sent his son who is himself to pay my debt, ransom me from my transgressions, destroy the power of the law, and give me not only everlasting life with him but a glorious inheritance as an adopted child of God.” Now that is some Good “Gospel” News!!!!!

or to paraphrase: Romans 5:8 (English Standard Version)8but⁽A⁾ God shows his love for us in that⁽B⁾ while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

wow I guess we get a blog now, thats kinda cool I guess, I’ve never been one that liked these things much, kinda always seen it as a pop trend but hey who knows. I wonder if Ill ever use it???? who knows. I wonder who can read it>
