I’m Marc Fleischmann and I come from Nürnberg, Germany.
Only one week ago, I transfered from Chemnitz University of Technology (GER) to SCAD Savannah. At CUT I am studying Sports Engineering. Just to explain what I’m doing there: It’s a kind of Mechanical Engineering, but especially for Sports Equipment.
How I came to SCAD, as an engineer? My great passion is swimming – last summer I got a scholarship offer from my new Coach of the SCAD Swim Team. I didn’t know anything about SCAD, so I decided to look for some Information on this College. Very soon I found out that it is known as one of the best Arts Schools in the States, and very different in many things to most of the other Colleges. It sounded just great. And I decided to take the chance and to try something new, but also something that I hope I will be able to combine it with my engineering skills – Industrial Design!
And so also my carrier as an Artist starts! Let’s see how much art can be in the (technical) creativity of an prospective engineer!
