Map project

For this assignment we needed to find a map that wasn’t printed; it didn’t matter if the map was from Savannah or from Scad or from Colombia, as long as it was a map. I chose a historic map of Savannah , that was not very big but neither very small , it was normal size. I put dirt , water, juice, paint , markers, rubber cement, Uhu glue, gum and finally I lighted it . The parts that survived were the parts I’ve already been so i started thinking globally. I thought I could represent somehow the places were I have already been.  I saw some masks in Blick store so I decided to paint the mask representing North and South America as well as Europe and Asia. I made a very bad decision by putting a golden background just because i though the paper was really cute. I did understand at the end that sometimes is better to leave some things out of the composition.
