I think both concentration designs work, I prefer the bottom one however, it is clearer. As for the Isolation, it looks a bit like a skull face, maybe try flipping it upside down? I always flip my stuff around to see how it works. It's amazing how different designs look flipped!

I definitely think the second concentration is stronger. But I like the movement you feel in the first one, as well. And the Isolation piece has a good sense of not only emphasis, but also a focus on engaging composition.

Greetings Laura!

I think it was wise to create the second concentration design as I had trouble really identifying if the first concentration design executed the assignment. I think that if the trail off going toward the right side of the design go even smaller, then maybe the contrast would be greater to create that feeling of concentration. That said, your second concentration design is spot on I believe. It's quite obvious to see it. Great job with the assignment.

Nice job capturing both concentration and isolation. For you design of concentration I definitely liked the second one better. It just kind of drags the attention straight to the focal point. Well done!

I really like your curvy design. I don't think anybody commented on it in class however, but I wanted to point it out! :D
You wrote how you feel it flows out, I see it as moving in, towards the center.
As for your major, go for jewelry design! I used to work with silver and made some nice silver jewelry. I always felt real proud when I finished a piece.
