This is another example of what could be considered an annoying American ad. If the idea in this ad was to value the differences among people (like Dove ads), it would be interesting. However, I found this ad to be offensive, because value the thinness as a standard of beauty. Analyzing the advertising techniques, this ad is successful. The visual was well used because get our attention and don’t have headline, body copy that’s sometimes is boring and don’t send the idea fast. The creators just put the product shot and a short sigh off. However the idea is completely fail.
Annoying Ads
This is a American old ad about a ventilating toilet. I believe that the advertising could be better. The ideas in the ads can be simple, but not obvious. Other point is about body copy, it’s so long and unnecessary. There is a visual and a headline that to fail and pay attention of the consumer. I think that creativity can best be used here.
Havaianas.
Do you have this one? It’s made in Brazil. This advertisement was create in Brazil, but to American consumers. In my opinion this a good and creative ad. The creators just used the “body copy”, “visual” and the “logo” of Havaianas. I believe is very difficult to create a good advertising just using the visual, but in most of the cases, I think these are the best ads. In this Havaianas ad, the sandals don’t exist, only her shadow. This simple idea was created to give us the idea to use Havaianas is like walking barefoot. (Read on …)
“About Me”
Hi friends, welcome to my blog!
I was born in a coffee farm in the beautiful country called Brazil. I moved to the USA last year to live in Chicago because my husband and I think that here we can have more opportunities in our job’s areas. I wish to continue my studies and just here in Savannah I took my first step to become real my dream. Master’s degree in Fiber is my objective. I graduated as an Art Teacher in 2005, but before this I started a specialization in Animation and Sculpture, but I didn’t finished the both. When I was in my second year in the University I start to work as an art teacher and I loved this experience! Then I decided to graduate in Arte Education. After my graduation I started to study Fiber. In the same period I was studding for the master entrance exam. I failed in this exam and the next year, in 2007 I married, and moved to another State in Brazil. There I worked as an art teacher and a shopping mall in a marketing department. These different experiences can sound strange, but I loved everything there is in art, and I think that here in the SCAD I have the possibility to learn more.
