Exploration: Black square problem

Hello! So, we had to do an exploration using black squares. We had to make designs to interpret six different words: congested, bold, playful, tension, order, and increase. All we used were black squares. This is my design for order. I envisioned rows of squares that repeated themselves. They have the same size squares (most likely, I know my squares aren’t perfect) and the same order.
These are my designs for playful and congested. The first one is playful because it curves around, as if having fun. The second one is congested. It is a bunch of squares pushed into a corner as if stuck.
This is my design idea for increase, tension and bold. The first one is increase because the sizes increase. That was one of the ideas that came to mind. The second one is tension because the bigger squares are going to squish the little squares. The third one is bold because it’s…well, bold.
