Isolation and Concentration
January 17, 2013 | 7 Comments
In class, we had to make quick designs out of concentration and isolation. When using concentration, you want to make a design where the focal point is in a bundle of shapes. Your eye is drawn to that bundle. In isolation, the design’s focal point is a stand out shape or one thing that stands out. One or two of my designs, I’m not 100% on if they are right but, its what I thought of as quick designs that seemed to follow the rules. They aren’t perfect. They were done quickly. I didn’t focus too much on getting them completely straight, like the past project. The first two are my thoughts on concentration. The bottom two are isolation. Hopefully, I wasn’t too far from the correct way of these designs.

I like your designs i don’t think you did it wrong at all. The first one is a little less strong but i’m guessing its concentration? Anyway, great job.
Your first Isolation really intests me because the eye is drawn to the entire shape rather than just a point.
feel free to check out my page too http://blog.scad.edu/cgalla21/2013/01/16/isolation-concentration-exploration/
The last isolation is nice, how it’s like a mini piece all its own. The first concentration took me a minute, and I like that. Thumbs up.

I really like the conventration drawings! One looks like bunched fabric, the other like a pile of fall leaves that I want to jump into.

I like the first concentration design. It’s as if the line guide your eye to a far off focal point. Well done
I like the first one especially because it reminds me of a dementor from harry potter!!! all of your drawings are very good though, well done!
