So this week in Kamikaze Sushi we watched episodes 4 and 5 of our animes for this quarter! (Sengoku Basara, K-On, Bakemonogatari, and Umineko no Naku Koro ni).
Announcements:
T-Shit Contest: Due date for the submissions to the design contest is Friday October 26th, by midnight. We will vote on the designs the following day at our regular sushi meeting. All submissions can be handed in at any of the meetings, to myself in room 1208 in Boundary, our VP Anna in room 1108 Boundary, or that friday (the 26th) evening I can be found in O-house ballroom from 5:30 till midnight. And remember the rules! It must have SCAD on it, have our mascot SCAD-Chan, and cater to the whole school, not just Kamikaze Sushi!
Community Service: Don’t forget to put in those community service hours. Mutt Strutt is coming up on November 7th, Pet Project takes place every Thursday and Friday afternoons, and Savannah Film Festival is coming up as well. Sign up for the first two at SOS meetings, Wednesday at 8pm in the student center. And remember, to go on our con trip you need to have done some community service hours!
Halloween Meeting: If everyone hasn’t noticed yet, we will have one of our regular meetings on Halloween night. (And the Masquerade Ball is the evening before.) So we will be having a small Halloween party. Sushi will provide some candy for members, but please bring snacks to share. We will also hold a costume contest and a halloween/gothic lolita contest in honor of halloween. Costumes must be cosplay of some kind, whether anime, manga, video game, or movie. The contest will take place midway through our anime screening and winners will be announced at the end. Winners will recieve a prize courtesy of Sushi.
Geek Dance: The official date for the Geek Dance is Friday November 6th. More details will be announced as they become available.
See you all next week!

Hey everyone! Another update after our second meeting for the quarter!
This week we watched episodes 2 and 3 of the anime for this quarter (Sengoku Basara, K-On, Bakemonogtari, Umineko no Naku Koro ni.)
Announcements for this week were:
T-Shirt Design Contest!!!
Here are the rules for the contest: The shirt must have SCAD somewhere on it (it does not have to be part of the design). It must have our mascot SCAD-chan on it, reference of her can be found here: http://missamerikka.deviantart.com/art/SCAD-chan-108684568 ; http://bluegirlwish.deviantart.com/art/Kamikaze-Sushi-Poster-118828743. You don’t need to follow those designs exactly, just keep the yellow ringlet hair, antenna, and wings. And the design must cater to the whole school not just sushi.
Community Service!
Remember to go to the SOS meetings on Wednesday at the Student Center at 8pm to sign up for Community Service. The Savannah Film Festival is coming up and is a great opportunity to get some volunteer hours along with Mutt Strutt on November 7th.
Fundraisers!
Post your ideas for other fundraisers on the facebook group thread: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=5681550734&ref=ts And we will still be selling snacks for the following weeks at club meetings! So bring some money and support your club!
And THANKS TO ALLEN for letting us use his giant speakers!

Hey everyone! Just an update for anyone that missed the first meeting of Fall Quarter.
Last night we voted on the anime for the quarter, the winners were: Sengoku Basara, K-On, Bakemonogatari, and Umineko no Naku Koro ni. We watched the first episode of each last night.
Just a few notes on announcements that were made:
First off community service, we need everyone to put in some community service hours because this year we are budgeting to get as many members of the club as possible to a convention. It will be either Momocon over spring break or AWA next year. The more community service hours everyone puts in, the more money we get and the more people we will be able to take. And note *the person that brings in the most community service hours will get a full paid trip to the con. Which means their transportation, hotel, and convention badge will all be taken care of by the club.
We are also budgeting some money for a geek dance this quarter. It will take place sometime after the Halloween Dance later this quarter. More information will be released as plans are hammered out.
Next note, we are working on getting a bigger venue for the club meetings on Saturday night. I know we were super crowded this weekend in the Student Center, I apologize greatly for this, I had been calling around all week trying to get a bigger place but ICC wouldn’t have it. So hopefully next week we will be able to use the O-house ballroom, which also means a MUCH better sound system too. If the venue changes I will let everyone know ASAP. So please don’t let the tight space deter you from coming to the club, we are working on getting more room!
And while we are still crammed in the Student Center please remember to keep quiet during the anime. I could hear some people over the speakers when I was right next to them. It gets really hard to hear from the back and I don’t want to have to continuously get up and ask people to be quiet. So please be courteous and silent while the anime is playing. Thank you!
See you all next week!

Aha, aha!
Look what Lilly figured out how to work! Now that we have the blog back in our hands, here’s some helpful things.
As you all know, we’ve been watching Soul Eater, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Macross Frontier, and Toradora! Now, you all know as well as I do we’ve been having some issues with our episodes, so I thought it would be handy to post my links to where we retrieve the episodes:
Soul Eater
(Zoku) Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
Macross Frontier
Toradora!
Now, if those sites are causing hiccups or the links have gone dead, try this site: Cyber12, or GalAnime.
As you all know, we tend to favor the Facebook Group instead.. But since some people have been having trouble finding it, here it is!
Now, you know if you all need anything, anything at all, to drop a line to Sushi’s email- kamikaze@scad.edu . Neat, huh? Or you can just smack I or any of the other officers around?
Sweet deal? Sweet deal.

The first meeting of the summer will be JUNE 28 in CRITES Hall on the 4th floor (room tba) from 9 PM until midnight.
We’ll be watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann(I know a lot of people might have already finished TTGL but I think it’s good enough to watch a second time) and I’m sorta inclined to start Toshokan Sensou. Normally we watch 3 or 4 series, but for the summer, we’ll probably only watch 2. The official descision will be announced at the first meeting.
