First Assignment
So here are my four finals for the “Subdivision of a Groundsheet” project. Not much to look at, I agree… Anyway, silly Windows won’t let me turn the pictures, so they’re all on their sides. I chose them because I thought they were visually interesting, and I placed lines in a way that I thought tricked the viewer. I would approach each design as symmetrically as I could stand; patterns are comfortable, easy to look at. Then I would strategically place lines and elements that maybe the viewer wouldn’t expect in the midst of the patterns. Funny enough, even though these designs are non-objective, I found myself inspired by random objects: there’s a guitar, a flag, bacon, and a bat underlying in these designs. Can you spot them? I’ll post a revision of one of them tomorrow

Your 2nd line drawing is my favorite. Its simple yet still unique.
